Funerals

Saying goodbye to a loved one

FUNERAL CEREMONIES

For many years, families were only offered the option of a religious funeral in a church, or the fully atheist alternative of a Humanist ceremony. However, Independent celebrant like Wilo offer the option to involve your personal faith and beliefs when saying farewell; whether religious, non-religious, spiritual, or uncertain.

Today you have the choice to celebrate the life of a loved one, and mourn the passing of their spirit, in a way which is appropriate and personal to you.

Wilo Callaghan is not affiliated to any religious order or spiritual faith, and is all encompassing in welcoming you to plan a funeral ceremony which is reflective of your own lifestyle and choices. She will dedicate her time to working closely with you and your family to help write and officiate a funeral ceremony which gives dignity and personality to the person who has passed away, and allows family and friends to grieve in a way which is right for them.

WORDS FROM MOURNERS

I am writing sincerely to thank you wholeheartedly for your support, advice and guidance you have given as our Funeral Celebrant. You dealt with me in a professional way and showed patience and understanding, especially in the days leading up to my late husbands passing. Suggesting such down to earth good advice at a very sad time, when things were so very stressful and I was so anxious. I am so glad I chose you, and would have no hesitation in recommending your services to anyone.

Losing someone is one of the worst things that can happen to you, whether it be sudden or expected, it still hurts and stuns you. Wilo was absolutely fantastic to our family in our time of need. She visited our home and chatted to us all about our Brother in Law who we lost so suddenly. It was actually lovely to talk about him and gave Wilo a great insight into the type of man he was. Wilo pointed us in the right direction to organise the things we needed to get the day organised as we wished. EVERYONE commented on what a wonderful day it had been. For us it was perfect, and we have a beautiful poem to treasure that Wilo wrote personally herself. Wilo, goes far beyond her duty, she puts her whole self into making your difficult day, a day to treasure.
